Sky replacement
Listings don't wait for good weather. When the exterior was shot under a white or gray sky, we replace it with a clear or lightly clouded one that matches the light on the house. The sun direction, the shadows and the color of the light on the walls all have to agree with the new sky, or the photo looks pasted together.
Virtual twilight
A dusk exterior with warm windows is often the photo that gets the click. Real twilight shoots need a return trip at the right time; virtual twilight starts from a daytime exterior. We darken the sky to dusk, warm the windows, add light from fixtures that exist on the house, and keep the landscape readable.
| Edit | Works best when | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Sky replacement | The house is sharp against the sky | Trees and fine branches against the sky take more masking |
| Virtual twilight | Windows face the camera and fixtures are visible | Rooms with blinds closed stay dark |
Edit honestly, disclose big changes. We fix light, color, lens distortion and small temporary things. Sky swaps, virtual twilight and object removal change what a buyer sees, so check your MLS rules on disclosing edited listing photos. We don't remove permanent features such as power lines, cracks or a neighbor's building.
What we won't change
We don't add features that aren't there: no new landscaping, no pools, no views that the home doesn't have. A sky or a time of day is an editing choice; the house and the lot stay as they are.
Questions
Should I disclose a replaced sky?
Rules differ by MLS and by market. Check yours. Many agents add a short note to the listing for twilight edits.
Can you do twilight from a phone photo?
Yes, if the exterior is sharp and well exposed. Low-light or blurry photos limit the result.
